There exists a Creation Museum out in Kentucky run by “Answers in Genesis”.
They believe in the literal text of Genesis, young earth, evolution is a myth … etc… the usual Creationist kooky stuff … or so I thought. I’ve always considered them to be nuts, but until now I simply did not appreciate how detached they truly are from reality.
(Warning: Be prepared to be completely gob-smacked)
OK, here we go … are you ready for this? …. They truly believe in the reality of Unicorns and Dragons and confirm that Noah took both into the Ark ….. (insert stunned silence here) …
So in essence … we now have the state of Kentucky being run by a governor who has given $40 million in tax breaks to people who want to tell children that science and history prove that a 600 year old man herded dinosaurs, fire-breathing dragons and unicorns onto a big boat 4,000 years ago.
PZ blogs about this here, but he is not alone, others have a few words to say as well.
Just when I was beginning to think that nobody could be truly “that” moronically stupid, along comes the “Answers in Genesis” folks to prove me complete wrong.
