The legal declaration that his use of tariffs was wholly illegal was of course excellent news, and it’s about damn time. He never had the authority to do it, not even in his first term. The constitution is very clear, only congress can do that.
To also be clear, not only did the International court of trade block the tariffs, but also a second court blocked the tariffs.
The markets got excited when it happened.
To give you an idea of just how far the administration has strayed from the norm, we have Miller declaring that upholding the constitution and the law is a coup …
- As for the three judges involved in this supposed judicial coup, one was appointed by Trump himself, and one was appointed by Reagan.
We also had an update from Penguin Island …
Then a federal appeals court temporarily reinstated the tariffs.
So where does that now leave us, how might it this play out, what comes next?
(Speculation mode on – I may be completely wrong)
The legal system operates at a snails pace, so perhaps June/July/August is Tariff Appeal Process, leaving the Tariffs in place and killing businesses and consumers.
Then in September/October/November/December: it all moves to a Supreme Court Hearing because he lost the appeal. And we then wait until Early 2026 for a Supreme Court ruling which might allow some tariffs and disallow others. In other words, no clarity for a year … perhaps.
Meanwhile, any and all trade deals stall as other nations await clarity, and while they wait, they simply make trade deals with other nations instead.
(Speculation mode back off – I really hope I’m wrong)
Meanwhile the economic extinction level asteroid is still incoming. Trade with China has not picked back up, it is still stalled, and his current stupidity is going to make it all a lot worse.

Show me just one of his ilk that “loves their neighbor“.)
- Christian Nationalist and self-appointed MAGA “prophet” Lance Wallnau has been billing himself as “Dr. Lance Wallnau,” – (Wallnau never earned a doctorate. Nothing screams “grifter” louder then claiming unearned titles via fake institutions that hand out fake degrees. His LinkedIn profile claims that he earned a D. Min, M.A., and a “Research Doctorate” from Phoenix University of Theology … which you will not be shocked to discover is a totally phoney degree mill).
- Texas state Rep. Nate Schatzline says that it is his job as a state legislator to “move the Overton Window more towards our biblical, Bible-centered Christian values.” – (he means GOP Biblical views, and not the actual teachings of Jesus)
