When it comes to you-know-who, then yea, he promised treat after treat, but it was all a lie, its most definitely Trick.
As a teen I was once a member of a cult that ticked a lot of boxes. Very controlling, no TV, and of course definitely no Halloween. I missed out on a lot of stuff, but thankfully I was rescued and got away. Ah but that is perhaps a story for another day.
What is inevitable is that whenever Halloween looms, I’m reminded of those “Happy Times” via the whacky public proclamations that inevitably roll out each year via the usual suspects. Take for example Jonathan Cahn. This past week he warned parents not to let their children participate in Halloween: “You’re sending your children out to celebrate a holiday that focuses on evil, darkness, witches, spirits, death, to likely dress up as evil creatures, go to the houses of strangers, commit extortion or vandalism, and then get diabetes.”
- He has three kids – it must be a real blast for them growing up in that household.
- If Halloween causes diabetes, then Christmas cookies, birthday cake, and church potlucks are basically biochemical warfare.
- He says Halloween focuses on witches and spirits — yet it is his entire profession that involves talking about invisible spirits. He might be closer to the costume theme than he realises.
- Apparently “demonic” is now a toddler dressed as a bumblebee politely asking for a mini Snickers.
The key pivot point for it all is this observation …
These days, every day is now Halloween …
The political cartoonists have of course been on top form as usual, and utilised Halloween imagery of the season to mock the real scary stuff that should terrify us. It’s not the imaginary spirits or creatures, but rather the very real monsters that roam amongst us dispensing fascist oppression, and hunger as they target people guilty of the “crime” of not being white, and serve the interests, not of those that elected them, but rather the interests of those that bought and paid for them.
Let’s take a look.
So yea, let’s talk about the lose of SNAP.
The Real Impact
You may lose SNAP benefits and health insurance, but don’t worry because Trump is building a $350 million ballroom just for you because he loves you. As Rev. Kenneth Copeland once said about his latest private jet: Jesus wanted him to have it.
The claim …
- Meanwhile reality says “nope”. He can’t simply wave his hand and Jedi mind-trick consumers into believing the cost of groceries is falling, but he’s giving it a try.
FOOD BANK DIRECTOR: “For every meal a food bank provides, the SNAP program provides 9. There’s no way we can meet that gap. We were not built to do this.”
We are where we are because people have embraced the liar and abandoned the truth of who he really is.
Liar-in-Chief
- Many Americans don’t realize or accept that Trump KNOWS he’s lying. He does NOT think he got $17 trillion in investments. He’s merely WILLING TO SAY IT. And somehow that willingness to lie derangedly is given so much respect by so many Americans that they forget he knows he’s lying.
Basically whenever he opens his mouth, it is more or less guaranteed to be a lie – www.cnn.com/2025/10/28/p…
As for “No third term”, I’m with Seth on this one. Nothing he says has any credibility …
Trump: “my numbers are up” Reality:
Oh and let’s not forget that he gave us a new definition of “treason” – hurting his feelings …
- But apparently women are too emotional to be president
Today we will be invading … (checks notes) … Nigeria …
No really, it’s not satire …
- These days, the only thing left in the US that is genuinely safe is the Epstein files
- So what does Nigeria have an abundance of? (Spoiler: Oil).
This is not just about the constant lying, but also is a story about his very in-you-face corruption on an epic scale.
Off-The-Charts Corruption
Staggering levels of self-dealing
Honestly now, did you not see this was incoming …
Pretty good ROI … $10 million to the ballroom in exchange for $400 Billion (In a normal universe we call this a Bribe) …
Multiple layers of Lunacy and utter incompetence

Healthcare – the new reality

Checking in on the “ceasefire”
Sudan
Things there are becoming very dire.
While Trump didn’t create Sudan’s war — his presidency helped build an international environment where strongmen feel emboldened, truth is optional, and diplomacy is weaker. That makes every fragile state’s problems — from coups to civil wars — harder to solve.
What is now happening may be worse than Rwanda.
Germany’s top diplomat Johann Wadephul described on Saturday the situation in Sudan as “apocalyptic” while fresh satellite images suggested mass killings were likely ongoing, five days after the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces seized El-Fasher.” www.yahoo.com/news/article…
Homophobia
Liberty Counsel declares that “Obergefell is the Crown Jewel of the ‘Trans’ Revolution”: “We MUST overturn this unlawful and destructive opinion.”
- When they tell you what their goal is, then it might be wise to believe them.
- What is actually deeply unethical and immoral is their attempt to use their whacky beliefs to justify shitting all over basic human rights.
Richard Harris says “the LGBT movement is satanic, it is from Hell.“
- “Hell” and all it’s torments is what people like Richard Harris are creating here and now.
Racism
Isabella Moody explains her professional philosophy: “I slut-shame, say ni**er, & call out jews because I actually support free speech, I call it as I see it, and it’s FUN watching all the pearl-clutching f*gs chimp out.“
- Ah yes, the old ‘I’m just being honest’ defense — the favorite slogan of people who mistake cruelty for personality.
- Those who feel the need to insult entire groups of people to ‘feel free,’ are not liberated, they are just lazy bigots.
Lilly Gaddis fumes over those who would “dare try to shame white people” like her for opposing race-mixing.
- Lilly’s out there defending ‘pure races’ while wearing yoga pants, eating tacos, and listening to Drake
Christian Nationalists
The nuttier right-wing religious fanatics within the MAGA cult are as always doing their thing, and so here are a few samples from the past week.
- If you actually read the New Testament, the only people Jesus called “of the devil” were hypocritical religious leaders who weaponized faith to condemn others. So if we’re assigning categories here… well, that one kind of writes itself.
- Eric appears to be telling us that the god he worships is either a prankster or is basically evil. One of the Greek ones would be my guess.
Also, Eric Metaxas declares that Zohran Mamdani is “about as wicked a figure as we have ever seen”: “I don’t think I have ever seen anyone as nefarious, as wicked as Mamdani. He’s frightening.“
- Hey Eric, calm down — Zohran Mamdani’s a New York assemblyman, not Sauron. He’s fighting for housing reform, not forging the One Ring.
- If championing tenants’ rights counts as “nefarious,” then somewhere a city planner just became the Antichrist.
- Eric calls him “frightening.” Buddy, the scariest thing Mamdani’s ever done is propose rent control. The only spirits he’s summoning are tenants’ associations
- So if that’s “wicked,” then I guess compassion’s the new black magic—and affordable housing is officially sorcery.
- Can these guys ever be honest about anything? There is literally no “forcing his values” going on here. He lays out his case for what he proposes to do and then the voters get to decide.
- Meanwhile, here is yet another example of a Christian nationalist “forcing” his whacky religious bigotry and intolerance on others.
Mario Murillo believes there is only one explanation for why New Yorkers would elected Zohran Mamdani as mayor: “Without demons, it’s impossible.“
- Ah yes, the classic explanation: democracy didn’t go your way, so obviously… demons. Next time Mario loses a parking spot, he’s gonna call for an exorcism.
- If demons really are behind New York elections, they’re surprisingly focused on rent control, climate policy, and fixing potholes. Truly the most civic-minded demons in history.
- The only thing actually possessing people is the desire for affordable housing. You might expect an evangelist who claims to follow Jesus to grasp such basics, but no, apparently not this one.
Weirdest of the Weird
Joel wins the award this week.
Joel Webbon has a problem with “Jewishness” and “Jewry” in general: “My heart for these people is that they would say, ‘Christ is Lord,’ that they would be converted, that they would come to the Christian faith, that they would repent of their sins, and also that maybe they wouldn’t serve in political office here in America.”
- Every time someone like Joel says ‘they shouldn’t hold office,’ an American history textbook spontaneously bursts into flames.
- Telling Jews to stay out of politics is wild when your entire religion is the spin-off version of it
- Oh come now, you know that what he is really saying is “These women won’t submit to my masculine dominance and what they are doing makes me feel insignificant“. “Every time a woman earns a degree or gets elected, someone like him pops up yelling ‘atrocious!’—which is basically ancient code for ‘I’m intimidated.’”
- In essence, he simply drones on and on about how unattractive he is to women, and his inability to adapt to modern life.
Even More Political Cartoons from the past week
As always, there are many excellent cartoons.
