Bestiality – belief vs non-belief

Not too long ago, a Muslim posted the following on FB …

“What a load of B*&&*cks”, you might mutter in reply, and rightly so. This complete loon has tripped over a non-believer who suggests that Bestiality is just fine and so he is using a screenshot of it to establish his specific variation as morally superior by claiming it is the official atheist view on Bestiality.

Why is this nonsense? Well, because atheists have exactly one thing only in common, the rejection of god claims due to a complete lack of evidence. That is the entire scope. As a result, non-believers are a very mixed bunch and will adhere to a vastly divergent and often conflicting range thoughts on all other topics. If I should happen to find a non-believer who plays tennis, can I then claim that non-belief causes tennis playing? Yes, this really is that daft.

We can turn this coin over and look at the other side. If our Muslim friend above does indeed wish to discuss morality then perhaps he should first look to his own house. Since we are on the topic of bestiality, what goes on out there?

  • Pakistan: In Southern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan, sex with animals is a common practice among rural youths and considered a rite of passage into adulthood.
  • Afghanistan: In a culture where homosexuals and adulterers are stoned to death you would expect a similar outcome for someone caught having sex with an animal. Surprisingly this is not the case.
  • Middle East: Bestiality is common among boys of tribal Arab cultures.
  • Sudan: Here is a story of a man caught having sex with a goat and as a result was forced to marry it.
  • Morocco: Once again, no problem “zoophilia is still very widespread and not blameworthy. With masturbation, it constitutes an obligatory passage in the adolescent male’s apprenticeship of sexuality.”

Is this really that common or am I being xenophobic? Well, here are some of the countries that make the top five world ranking of various bestiality-related internet search terms: (To check, you can go to google trends and enter the terms to see who comes top for the most searches)

  • Pig Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Egypt (No. 2) Saudi Arabia (No. 3)
  • Donkey Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Iran (No. 3) Saudi Arabia (No. 4)
  • Dog Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Saudi Arabia (No. 3)
  • Cat Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Iran (No. 2) Egypt (No. 3) Saudi Arabia (No. 4)
  • Horse Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Turkey (No. 3)
  • Cow Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Iran (No. 2) Saudi Arabia (No. 4)
  • Goat Sex: Pakistan (No. 1)
  • Animal Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Morocco (No. 2) Iran (No. 4) Egypt (No. 5)
  • Snake Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Malaysia (No. 3) Indonesia (No. 4) Egypt (No. 5)
  • Monkey Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Indonesia (No. 3) Malaysia (No. 4)
  • Bear Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Saudi Arabia (No. 2)
  • Elephant Sex: Pakistan (No. 1) Egypt (No. 3) United Arab Emirates (No. 4) Malaysia (No. 5)
  • Fox Sex: Saudi Arabia (No. 1) Turkey (No. 4)

There is definitely something very odd about Pakistan, and so it is clearly the epitome of hypocrisy. They have banned content on more than a dozen websites because of “offensive” and “blasphemous” material that criticises their belief, but when it comes to sex-related search terms, including “child sex,” “rape sex,” “animal sex,” “camel sex,” “donkey sex,” “dog sex,” and “horse sex” … not a problem, so there is no ban.

Why is it like this, is it simply cultural? Perhaps that is part of it, but I’m of the view that it is principally caused by the degree of sexual repression and gender segregation that Islam imposes, and so as a result of such an unnatural and unhealthy stance the human animal finds other sexual outlets.

What are we to conclude, that all Muslims are sex-starved lunatics lusting after animals? Of course not, given the vast diversity of Islamic belief we simply cannot generalize like that, but you must admit that the case against weird stuff like this appears to be far stronger within specific strands of Islamic thought than the communities of those that dare to doubt the mandates of clerics.

The reality is that you can never really generalize about anything, and so when you encounter somebody doing or saying weird stuff, it might indeed be tempting to announce, “Look, they are all immoral degenerates, here is an example“, but before you go there, you should first determine if it is simply a correlation and the fact that the individual in question adheres to a specific philosophy might not actually be a causal relationship … but then again, it just might be.

So where are we then?

  • As illustrated by a Muslim, an atheist endorses bestiality – But atheism says nothing about that, most would throw up at the very thought of it, so there is clearly no causal relationship here, it is simply an example of somebody who happens to be an atheist and is also a bit of a twat. Being a non-believer does not make you immune to that.
  • Do Muslims actually support Bestiality, once again clearly no, many would also throw up at the very thought. But there are some strands of Islamic belief that do appear to repress normal human sexuality to such a degree that it instead manifests itself as culturally acceptable bestiality within some cultures.

What can one say to all this except Ugh! … oh and as for the claim that Islam holds the high moral ground on this, or for that matter, on morality in general, well those Islamic believers who attempt to pursue this thought might not like what they find if the look too closely inside their own camp.

  1. I have been a zoophile as long as I can remember and I redily find that the common argument is that of animals are lower than humans I believe we are alike in many ways sex wise we both have the capabilities of receiving pleasure from the act as well as the same intensity of emotional response from such actions as can be observed in the oxytocin levels as well as the serotonin and dopamine levels each animal communication messages are different however the intensity of the observation and interactions by the human they can be easily interpreted however the journey in obtaining consent doesn’t end there there’s a lot to be aware of when engaging in sexual activity for this example I will use dogs the dog if scared or uncomfortable will let out a unmistakable oder from the anal glands I know that sounds unsettling but it is a way that is natural to tell if the dog is not comfortable with the advances by the human also the body language of the animal if the dog is reacting positive responses to the humans advances and continues to give positive feedback during the act then consent has been received so it is fair to say if the dog starts to become uncomfortable during the act then to proceed with the act then could be considered rape I find in true zoophile’s such as myself that we deeply value and love are relashinsip with are animal partner and that relationship is built on trust in one another and we would not under any sercomstan wish any harm to our partners for how can one say they love something and knowingly cause harm to it we will only engage if we are completely confident in our ability to correctly communicate with our partners and it is our motivation by how much pleasure we can give our partners for we love our partners more than we love ourselves

  2. No “propganda” or “beliefs” required Mike, if you check to see who is searching for those specific terms and where they are on the planet, then the facts are as stated.

The point is clear, this is not a claim that those are the most popular search terms, nor is it an endorsement of Beastiality, but rather was to illustrate that the “Holier-than-thou” claim promoted by a Muslim apologist opens up a rather embarrassing can-of-worms for him.

If you find this disturbing, then I suggest you have a chat with the folks in Pakistan who are doing those searches, not me.

  3. Well I i checked “google trends” and found that most Paki are only searching for “Ary News” or something called “cricket” which is a BRITISH sport and not the animal cricket or the mobile company. Your claims are baseless and you are categorizing only muslim countries and utilizing false propaganda to propagate your own believes on beastility.

  4. I feel somewhat insulted.

“As illustrated by a Muslim, an atheist endorses bestiality – But atheism says nothing about that, most would throw up at the very thought of it, so there is clearly no causal relationship here, it is simply an example of somebody who happens to be an atheist and is also a bit of a twat. ”

I don’t necessarily endorse Beastiality, but I do agree with the comments in the screenshot: That it should not illegal, because as long as both parties are enjoying the act and there is not any abuse or neglect involved, than what a man or woman does with their house pet is their business. A woman who wants to couple with their dog, or a man who thinks his mare looks good- that’s their business, and as long the animal is enjoying it too, then where’s the harm?

Again, it’s not my thing, but I’m not going to immediately condemn or make these people into social pariahs because it grosses me out. I’m not going to ostracize them because I’m uncomfortable, then we’re just as bad as those we try to combat.

  5. I don’t see a problem with this. What they do in their country is none of my business. Many of these countries sacrifice animals on holidays, surely that’s just a little bit worse than jerking it off.
