Vatican tells U.N. that critics of gays under attack

Yes indeed, the Vatican is doing what they do best … basically being outrageously stupid, yet at the same time believing that they are holding the high moral ground. The latest example is a press Release that can be found on Reuters here. OK then, lets take a look …

GENEVA (Reuters) – People who criticise gay sexual relations for religious or moral reasons are increasingly being attacked and vilified for their views, a Vatican diplomat told the United Nations Human Rights Council on Tuesday.

Sigh! … no, the reality is that religious sleazeballs who poke their noses into the lives of others and attempt to impose their own grossly immoral made-up beliefs are being quite rightly criticized. As for being vilified, they need no assistance from others, they do that to themselves by spouting complete bullshit.

Archbishop Silvano Tomasi said the Roman Catholic Church deeply believed that human sexuality was a gift reserved for married heterosexual couples. But those who express these views are faced with “a disturbing trend,” he said.

Yes indeed, while they are free to believe whatever they like, the “disturbing” (to them) trend is that people are waking up and realising that

1. its complete bullshit, and
2. that this delusional belief of theirs is totally immoral.

“People are being attacked for taking positions that do not support sexual behaviour between people of the same sex,” he told the current session of the Human Rights Council.

He was telling this to the “Human Rights Council”… and has the gall to suggest that the human rights abuses he propagates should not be criticized!!. It would appear that he is totally fact devoid and blind to the reality that same sex relationships are quite normal, and have been observed within every living species on the planet – no exceptions.

“When they express their moral beliefs or beliefs about human nature … they are stigmatised, and worse — they are vilified, and prosecuted.

“These attacks are violations of fundamental human rights and cannot be justified under any circumstances,” Tomasi said.

Actually, it is the infliction of his immoral belief that is the true violation of basic human rights, and cannot be justified under any circumstance.

The Catholic Church has clashed increasingly in recent years with governments over sexual equality legislation. In Britain, it had to close down adoption services because they refused to allow same-sex couples to adopt orphans in their care.

It has also opposed the growing acceptance of same-sex marriage in several countries in Europe and the Americas.

Tomasi also said the Vatican believed in the inherent dignity of all human beings and condemned all violence against people because of their sexual orientation or behaviour.

But they still have no problem with the idea of stirring up anti-gay rhetoric and inflicting their immorality upon others who do not embrace the same delusions.

“But states can and must regulate behaviours, including various sexual behaviours,” he said.

Is he seriously suggesting spy cameras watching and policing anything that does not conform to his made-up rules, well Bollocks to that.

“Throughout the world, there is a consensus between societies that certain kinds of sexual behaviour must be forbidden by law. Paedophilia and incest are two examples.”

And what the frack have either of those got to do with same sex relationships?

If you want an example of truly bizarre sexual behavior, then consider the thought that he belongs to a religious cult that believes that elderly male virgins wearing black dresses are entitled to dictate to the rest of us on how to run our sex lives by spouting the delusional ramblings of some iron age goat herders.

If you feel that I am being too harsh when I criticize like this, then you need to consider that I’m simply responding to his truly outrageous babbling. And you know what, its only been about 200 years since folks like him stopped setting fire to people like me, but give then the chance and I have no doubt they would be back to doing that once again.
